From the south, follow the A76 to Thornhill. Keep straight on at the cross in the centre of the village. When you reach the end of the village, turn left onto the A702 heading towards Penpont/Moniaive.
From the north, take the A76 to Thornhill and turn right just as you enter the village onto the A702 heading towards Penpont/Moniaive.
Follow the A702 over the humpbacked bridge then for approximately one mile. At the end of the straight, the road bends to the left and there is a post box on the right-hand side. Turn right here – more like straight on – behind the garden of White Cliffs Cottage. Do not turn sharp right into the village. Follow the road uphill for approx. 1 mile, keeping on the tarmac. Ignore your SatNav if it tries to send you along a track! Croftjane Cottage is on the left at the top of the hill.
From the west, take the A702 from Moniaive, through Penpont and keep straight on towards Thornhill. You will pass a farm (Stepends) on your left, then two cottages on the right. A short distance after these, the road bends to the right, and you will see a cottage on your left. Turn left immediately after the cottage. It is a sharp left-hand turn, coming back on yourself behind the garden of White Cliffs Cottage. Follow the road uphill for approx. 1 mile, keeping on the tarmac. Ignore your SatNav if it tries to send you along a track! Croftjane Cottage is on the left at the top of the hill.
