The cottage sits in a quiet location with wonderful views overlooking beautiful Nithsdale, with the Lake District fells in the background.

Free Wi-Fi is available in Croftjane Cottage. Although this is reasonably reliable, given our location, it’s perhaps not as speedy as you may be used to.
As well as the farm animals, we have three dogs and a cat at Croftjane, hence our decision not to accept visitors’ dogs. Our pets are not allowed in the cottage, but please be warned if you have any severe allergies.
Smoking is strictly forbidden.

We had a very enjoyable stay. The cottage and surroundings were comfortable, peaceful and clean. We especially enjoyed seeing the Red Kites outside gliding across the sky.

We didn’t want for anything. It’s in an absolutely stunning location, sitting watching the stars every evening was one of our favourite things to do. If you want peace and quiet but be close enough to plenty of fun days out this is certainly the place.
We felt very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Claire was so responsive and gave us excellent recommendations for local attractions which kept our young boys amused every day. There’s so much to do in the area, we would love to come back again soon.
Highly recommended, excellent value for money - you won’t be disappointed.
