This is our second visit to CroftJane. We highly recommend this gorgeous and secluded bungalow. The hosting is superb, as is the location and beautiful house. We plan to return... read more again and again as it feels like a second home. 5 stars from the O'Reilly.

We are back from a long weekend at Croftjane Cottage and found it clean spacious, and perfectly located for us. It was well suited to a young family too. Communication... read more from the host couldn't have been better and we hope to return in the future - hopefully in the summer months so we can make more of the garden, local walks and easy access to Drumlanrig Castle!

Perfect stay! Beautiful beyond words, clean and Claire is a wonderful host. Responsive within minutes and very caring to anything you ask. Very child friendly.
A few things we did... read more with our young ones are the castle up the road, Kilnford shop for foodie lovers (an absolute delight) and for a deep fried Mars bars go to the Palmerston Cafe; both in Dumphries.
We got our eggs down the road from Jennifer Watt who is a very very talented sculptor. There is some incredible art at your doorstep here!!
A couple of trip tips: beautiful Coalface for a sort of art installation landscape, very soulful, and the castle ruins at Morton castle.
We did not even scratch the surface with things do locally I think. Amazing! So grateful we found this gem of a place.

It is hard to do justice to the amazing views from this cottage! Its location is perfect for 360 degree views and there is a wonderful spot in the garden... read more to sit and eat, drink, read or just contemplate life. The cottage is really cosy, with a great log fire for the evenings. Everything is spotlessly clean and we had everything we needed. There are fantastic walks from the cottage - we just set off and found helpful locals who directed us on where to go! Claire is the perfect host and we really hope to return here.
