A wonderful cosy cottage with fabulous views over open countryside. Cottage was spotlessly clean, lounge was comfortable and cosy, especially with the brilliant wood burner on! Location was very quiet... read more and peaceful and we all slept like logs in the comfy beds. A short power cut during the stormy Sunday evening didn't take anything away from our weekend at CroftJane - in fact it was even cosier with the wood burner on and all the candles that Claire promptly provided. Perfect stay! Beautiful beyond words, clean and Claire is a wonderful host. Responsive within minutes and very caring to anything you ask. Very child friendly.
A few things we did... read more with our young ones are the castle up the road, Kilnford shop for foodie lovers (an absolute delight) and for a deep fried Mars bars go to the Palmerston Cafe; both in Dumphries.

A couple of trip tips: beautiful Coalface for a sort of art installation landscape, very soulful, and the castle ruins at Morton castle.
We did not even scratch the surface with things do locally I think. Amazing! So grateful we found this gem of a place.
