Croftjane Cottage

  We’ve just returned from a lovely week at Croftjane Cottage. The weather wasn’t the best (not Claire & Mike’s fault!), but the cottage was perfectly cosy for relaxing in after... read more a day out or even for a whole day.

When the weather permitted, the outside space was a lovely area to look at the views, watch the bats in the evening and simply enjoy the peace and quiet.

The use of the large freezer and washing machine/tumble dryer in the laundry building were also much appreciated.

Tips for eating out nearby: Thomas Tosh for lunch in Thornhill and Piccola Italia in nearby Moniaive for a evening meals.

There are plenty of lovely walks nearby and Drumlanrig Castle and its beautiful gardens are very close. We definitely recommend spending there more than a few days, also to discover the area, where there is so much to do and explore!
