      Croft Jane is a beautiful cottage, its spotlessly clean, and warm and inviting, and very spacious, there where only the 2 of us but it would perfectly fit a family... read more of 4. The location is stunning and very peaceful just the cows lowing and bird song. Claire made us very welcome and despite current restrictions we had an amazing week. We even had a week of sunshine! I can thoroughly recommend this cottage and we hope very much to return.

The set up of the house is grand and... read more very close to Drumlanrig Castle, its trails, and not too far from 7-stanes. In the Galloway Part of D&G, Galloway Forest Park dark skies are renowned in a light polluted world.
    There is a couple of closeby villages Thornhill (largest with all essential local services) and Penpont (eating). There are nice walks and a coastal drive 50mins south that a local promised me took in some spectacular views . I hope to go back.
