Loved... read more watching the horses in the fields and just looking bout at the amazing views. Even our teens were in awe of the views. Great location from which to explore the area.       We had a very enjoyable stay. The cottage and surroundings were comfortable, peaceful and clean. We especially enjoyed seeing the Red Kites outside gliding across the sky.

      Perfect stay! Beautiful beyond words, clean and Claire is a wonderful host. Responsive within minutes and very caring to anything you ask. Very child friendly.
    A few things we did... read more with our young ones are the castle up the road, Kilnford shop for foodie lovers (an absolute delight) and for a deep fried Mars bars go to the Palmerston Cafe; both in Dumphries.
    We got our eggs down the road from Jennifer Watt who is a very very talented sculptor. There is some incredible art at your doorstep here!!
    A couple of trip tips: beautiful Coalface for a sort of art installation landscape, very soulful, and the castle ruins at Morton castle.
    We did not even scratch the surface with things do locally I think. Amazing! So grateful we found this gem of a place.
