We really liked that - the cottage itself was peaceful but the village had amenities like grocery shops, coffee shops and was a very pleasant place to walk around.

  Croftjane turned out to be a very spacious, comfortable, warm and well maintained cottage that is extremely well equipped and exceptionally quiet. Its well off the beaten... read more track but for me was the ideal base for hill walking in the Galloway Forest and Scottish Borders being equidistant between the two areas. The nearby village is a few minutes drive where there are some small shops but its only twenty minutes or so drive from Dundee. Claire's directions were very helpful. I had an excellent stay and would like to says thanks to Claire for providing such pleasant accommodation.
