Refurbished to a high standard, Croftjane Cottage provides peaceful accommodation for people looking for a relaxing break in idyllic surroundings, or for those who want to take advantage of the many opportunities for outdoor recreation. The cottage sits in a quiet location with wonderful views overlooking beautiful Nithsdale, with the Lake District fells in the background.

Free Wi-Fi is available in Croftjane Cottage. Although this is reasonably reliable, given our location, it’s perhaps not as speedy as you may be used to.
As well as the farm animals, we have three dogs and a cat at Croftjane, hence our decision not to accept visitors’ dogs. Our pets are not allowed in the cottage, but please be warned if you have any severe allergies.
Smoking is strictly forbidden.

Claire was a lovely host who quickly got us up to speed with local knowledge. The cottage was beautifully presented and we knew we had landed on our feet after a long drive from Cornwall. When we woke in the morning we were greeted with the most spectacular view and beautiful white horse in the adjacent field.
A garage/shed outside where we could dry our boots and leave our rods was a particular bonus, not to mention the gentrified town of Thornhill, with a great bakery, bars and well equipped COOP.

Loads of things to do nearby,... read more we did fishing at Drumlanrig Castle LOADS of stunning walks and took our toddler to Dinosaur Park! Fantastic logburner for post rainy walks - we used every night! Thank you so much, we'll be back!

The cottage is so peaceful and serene, really recharged after spending time just relaxing outside.
